This simulator allows the student to setup a three phase LCR (Inductor, Capacitor, Resistor) a.c. circuit. Students can verify their theoretical knowledge and skills by carrying out the accompanying practical exercises.

Features

The 3-Phase supply output configuration (Star / Delta), voltage and frequency can be specified. Supply display will show the true power, apparent power and reactive power drawn from the power supply. 3-Phase load type can be specified as magnitude and phase angle or Impedance and power factor. Furthermore, the load display will then show the true power, apparent power and reactive power for each phase. Also, you can view the relationship between voltage and current waveforms on the scope or on the phasor chart. Once you have mastered the concepts of 3-Phase circuits, you can introduce a few types of typical 3-phase circuit faults. Furthermore, based on the circuit response, you should be able to identify the type of fault.
